Greetings to everyone visiting FrontSpace, my name is Chris, the artist, techgeek, and nerd of this whole project. Me and my buddy Edward, run this deal here. I’m not the best at explaining things, so Ed is going to tell you about how this came to be.
- Chris (Bert)
Hello, my name is Edward and I would like to start this off by saying welcome to FrontSpace Revamped!!! As most of you might have noticed the site is undergoing quite a few signifigant changes, and will be featuring some new add-ons due too Chris’ sudden bursts of ideas. To be more precise, these are his words exactly;
“I just hit the jackpot of ideas though.
like
i walked into a cave in my mind
and opened a tied sack of ideas
that just exploded at my face
and into my brain”

DALE!
That’s right, I’m the infamous Dale. You see the characters in the comic “FrontSpace” are images reflected of what we look like in real life, and how we act. But where do I come into all of this? When were the characters, Bert and Dale, ACTUALLY created?.. Well that’s easy! We’ve always been around, you just haven’t known about us
Allow me to explain…
Me and Chris met in the 3rd grade… Ahem* Actually scratch that!
(Scary music plays/Story time)
It twas a dark and rainy day, and all seemed hopeless. All of the kids in Mrs. Thompkins 3rd grade class room, including Chris and I, had just taken their seats and readied for the occasional not so challenging warm up that she had prepared for us on the white board. There was the usual jumble of noise from kids taking out their pencils and paper that happens every morning. However, a few minutes after we were just getting settled in and opening our backpacks, a sudden tension broke the air and all became silent. . . .
I looked around me to see what was going on only to realize that everyone was looking at me… It was then that I realized that the fart that was causing me to go red in the face because I had been trying to hold it in, it had slipped out. Chris and I were glaring at eachother and we both had uncontrollable static shooting from our eyes. Someone screamed out, “DRAWING CONTEST!!!” and everyone cowered into the four corners of the room shuffling their desk away from Chris and I to avoid the disastrous event that they all knew was soon to come.
I stood up, still with uncontrollable static shooting from my eyes, and I stared Chris down, nodding and tilting my head in a way as if to say, “Shall we?”. It was then, on this dark, rainy, and hopeless day that this rigorous battle had taken place. We began drawing the masterpieces that we felt had defined us as who we represented the most. I drew Beavus, from Beavus and Butthead, while Chris drew Super Saiyan 3 Goku from the hit TV series Dragon Ball Z.
I must say, it was quite an intense battle. We were constantly looking up for any signs of weakness in the others eye, just waiting, hoping that one of us would collapse under the pressure of our 3rd grade classmates that were waiting oh so eagerly to see the outcome.
EVEN THOUGH at times the pressure seemed overwhelming, we kept ourselves calm and reasurred ourself constantly that our drawing was a work of art to keep our self confidence at an all time high, But in the end, only one can win… Since the beginning of time this rule has been established… and if it hasn’t then let’s just pretend that it has for this one moment, because I want this to sound as epic as possible…
As the static began to cool and the tension/pressure from our godly existance began to rise, everybody began to relax because they knew… It was over. Chris and I had handed over our drawings to the judge, a girl named Chenelle A.K.A Sha naynay (Atleast that’s what I wish I would have called her now looking back at it), and Almost INSTANTLY she had made a decision. The winner wasssssss….. Fortunatly, not me. Chris had won the intense battle that seemed to have taken ages to get past. It was then at that moment that I realized what a true artist was. IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED.. Me and this kid were going to go a long way…
-I hope you enjoyed my short story, especially considering on how long it took to write it.
ANYWAYS, Here we are now in the modern day, ready to share our ’sense of humor’/Entertainment with YOU! We hope you find it comforting as you read our comics and that it can occasionally make you crack a smile, especially on those stressful days! With that being said the schedule as Chris has stated (but hasn’t recently been keepin up with -.-) is a new comic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Hope you enjoy, have a good one
